This rare and evocative early Iron Age Cimmerian spade-shaped short sword dates to approximately the 8th-7th century BC and represents a powerful and archaic form of ancient edged weaponry. Forged entirely of iron, the sword features the distinctive broad, leafless, spade-like blade profile associated with early steppe and proto-classical martial traditions.
