Treasure Trove Auctions offers both in-house and third-party shipping options to accommodate a wide variety of items. While we strive to handle shipping internally whenever possible, oversized, fragile, framed, or otherwise specialized items may be outsourced to a trusted third-party shipping provider. All shipping costs are the sole responsibility of the buyer.

Shipping Process & Costs

In-house packaging and shipping are available for many items, with shipping quotes determined by the package's size, weight, destination, and carrier rates.

All shipments include insurance and signature confirmation where applicable. Domestic shipments are typically handled through UPS, while international orders are shipped via DHL, FedEx, UPS, or whichever carrier provides the most cost-effective solution for the buyer.

All items are insured and declared at their full purchase value, including both the hammer price and buyer's premium.

Third-Party Shipping

Domestic and international buyers are welcome to arrange shipping through a third-party carrier of their choice. However, Treasure Trove Auctions assumes no responsibility for the acts, omissions, delays, damage, or loss caused by third-party shipping providers, regardless of whether they were recommended by our staff.

International Buyers

International buyers are solely responsible for all applicable duties, VAT, taxes, brokerage fees, customs clearance charges, import fees, and any additional governmental assessments imposed by their country. These charges are not included in shipping costs and must be paid directly to the appropriate customs authority.

Treasure Trove Auctions is responsible for professionally packing and shipping your items. However, we are not international import specialists. Buyers are solely responsible for understanding and complying with the import laws, restrictions, licensing requirements, and regulations applicable within their own country.

Before placing a bid, buyers should verify:

• That the item is legally permitted for import into their country.
• Any permits or licenses required.
• Applicable customs duties, VAT, taxes, or import fees.
• Any restrictions relating to cultural property, antiques, edged weapons, firearms, militaria, ivory, endangered materials, or other regulated goods.

While our team is always happy to share guidance based on previous shipping experience, all responsibility for customs compliance and import approval rests solely with the buyer.

Treasure Trove Auctions cannot provide refunds or assume liability for items delayed, confiscated, rejected, destroyed, or otherwise affected by customs authorities due to import restrictions or non-compliance with local laws.

If an item is returned to us because of customs or import-related issues, all return shipping charges and any additional associated costs remain the responsibility of the buyer.
