This incredible German Feuerwehr fire services grouping is anchored by an exceptional German World War II M34 "Square Dip" Feuerwehr Fire Protection Police helmet, offered together with a German firefighter 40-Year Service Cross and a wartime Feuerwehr Ausweis identity card. The helmet is the centerpiece of the lot and presents as a superb double-decal example with comb, complete original leather liner, all split pins, foam rubber padding, and complete chinstrap. The exterior retains nearly all of its original black paint, showing only small chips and scratches from age and handling. The right side displays the NSDAP Party Shield decal, approximately 95 percent complete, while the left side retains the Civic Police eagle decal, nearly 100 percent complete with only minor deterioration. A lightly struck manufacturer stamp is also present on the upper left side of the helmet.

The grouping is further enhanced by an attractive German firefighter 40-Year Service Cross, suspended from its original blue ribbon. The cross bears the inscription "TREUE FÜR 40 IM VEREIN", meaning "Faithful for 40 Years in the Association," surrounding a white enamel center disc with the numeral 40. The award displays an appealing aged silvered finish with honest patina, crisp lettering, and a well-defined wreath around the center medallion. Also included is a Feuerwehr Ausweis, or Fire Department identity card, dating to the 1933-1945 period, adding an excellent documentary element to the lot and tying the grouping directly to German fire service administration during the Third Reich era.

The M34 Feuerwehr helmet was widely used by German fire protection, civil defense, police, and auxiliary organizations during the Third Reich period. These helmets represented the organized home-front emergency services that played a vital role in fire response, civil defense, rescue work, and municipal protection. Double-decal Feuerwehr helmets with combs, complete liners, chinstraps, and foam padding are especially desirable, as many surviving examples are missing interior components or show heavy service wear. The distinctive "Square Dip" shell profile, black finish, Civic Police eagle, and Party shield give this helmet a striking and immediately recognizable appearance.

Together, these three pieces create a fantastic German fire services display grouping spanning uniform headgear, civic service decoration, and official identification material. The helmet alone is a standout example, but the addition of the 40-Year Service Cross and Feuerwehr Ausweis gives the lot broader historical depth and collector appeal. This is a highly displayable and cohesive offering for collectors of German WWII helmets, Feuerwehr material, civil defense items, police-related artifacts, fire service memorabilia, and Third Reich home-front history. We strongly encourage bidders to review all images carefully to appreciate the helmet decals, liner system, service cross, ribbon, and Ausweis details included in this exceptional grouping.
