A golden showcase of one of the franchise's most formidable Psychic-type legends, this 2015 Mewtwo-EX #164/162 Secret Rare from the XY BREAKthrough expansion features an elaborate full-art illustration by celebrated artist Mitsuhiro Arita. Mewtwo commands the center of a richly detailed composition, surrounded by Chesnaught, Magnezone, and Cresselia, with brilliant gold-toned accents giving the artwork its distinctive appearance. Numbered beyond the expansion's standard 162-card checklist, this special release features 170 HP alongside the Shatter Shot and Damage Change attacks. The card has been professionally authenticated, encapsulated, and graded PSA 7 NM (Near Mint), preserving an impressive example of this intricately illustrated XY-era collectible.

Mewtwo has held a special place in Pokemon history since its introduction in the original games, representing the mysterious possibilities of genetic experimentation and extraordinary Psychic power. The 2015 BREAKthrough expansion gave this iconic character a prominent role, introducing multiple Mewtwo-EX and Mega Mewtwo-EX designs alongside the new BREAK Evolution mechanic. What makes this particular Secret Rare especially compelling is its connection to Mitsuhiro Arita, whose artwork helped define the earliest generations of the trading card game. The detailed composition, unusual supporting characters, and striking gold presentation distinguish it from more conventional Mewtwo releases. An excellent opportunity for collectors of original-generation legends, renowned Pokemon illustrators, and memorable Secret Rares from the XY era.
