An impressive centerpiece for original-era Pokemon collectors, this lot gathers all 16 holographic rares from the 1999 English Base Set, individually encapsulated by Beckett or CGC. The group includes Charizard #4 BGS 8.5, Blastoise #2 BGS 7.5, Venusaur #15 BGS 8.5, and a 1st Edition-stamped Machamp #8 BGS 8.5. Fifteen cards have Beckett grades and Zapdos #16 is CGC 8.5, covering the complete holographic subset rather than the entire 102-card set.

The original 16 holos were the centerpiece pulls of Pokemon's first English-language trading card release. Assembled together, they celebrate a defining moment in the hobby, from the iconic starter evolutions to Mewtwo, Gyarados, and Alakazam. The range of grades and matching slabbed presentation make this an unusually convenient way to display the complete classic holo lineup without sourcing each card separately.

Cards / Grades: Alakazam #1 BGS 9; Blastoise #2 BGS 7.5; Chansey #3 BGS 8.5; Charizard #4 BGS 8.5; Clefairy #5 BGS 9; Gyarados #6 BGS 7; Hitmonchan #7 BGS 8.5; Machamp #8 BGS 8.5 (1st Edition); Magneton #9 BGS 7; Mewtwo #10 BGS 8.5; Nidoking #11 BGS 8.5; Ninetales #12 BGS 9; Poliwrath #13 BGS 8.5; Raichu #14 BGS 8.5; Venusaur #15 BGS 8.5; Zapdos #16 CGC 8.5.
Lot: 16 graded holo cards, not the complete 102-card Base Set.
